  • No, we are not a vendor. We are a one stop shop for your homeschool enrichment classes

  • Yes, we do. Visit the Get Started page to fill out the form to request one.

  • Yes, with some guidelines. We allow students with 1-1 aide shadow them in classes. If you feel that your student may have challenges in a typical class setting, please reach out to talk specifics.

  • Some classes are 1 semester only (most electives) and some are year long (most academic classes). The duration should also be stated on the class description.

  • Yes you can. Submit a request in the parent portal. There is a $15 administration fee that you will be billed via square.

  • The community piece is run by parents working together to make the fun stuff happen, the classes are not a co-op.

  • You can drop a class by submitting a request in your parents portal. Reminder: the drop period ends after the 2nd class of the semester. If there is a drop after that, there is no refund.

  • No, there is no requirement to volunteer. With that being said, jumping in to help is a great way to gain community and make Legacy Center all it can be.

  • We have campus coordinators who guide students from class to class. Teachers also help out at the beginning of each semester.

  • There is a PE/ Lunch class offered daily and a passing period between classes but no recess.

  • Do I need to register with the state or a charter school to homeschool legally?
    Yes. In California, you have several legal options to homeschool:

    • File a Private School Affidavit (PSA): You establish your own private school and maintain records.

    • Enroll in a Private School Satellite Program (PSP): A PSP keeps records and sometimes offers support or classes.

    • Enroll in a public charter school that supports homeschoolers: They typically offer funding for approved vendors offered by Legacy Center.

  • No. There may be a materials fee for some classes but that is paid to the vendors.

  • Once you enroll in a charter and select your classes, your charter teacher will issue a PO to each vendor. Be sure to confirm classes are approved by your charter.

  • No, you need to sign up through Legacy Center so we can collect all the information we need.

  • Yes, but it is limited. We are always looking to expand, so email us with requests. The wheel class is A-G.

  • No, you are free to leave as long as your child has a class. If you child has a gap, you will need to be there with them. We suggest creating a schedule with back to back classes if your plan is drop your child off.

  • Yes, our campus coordinator is frequently monitoring the campus throughout the day. We also have a fence with one gate so there is only one way in and one way out. We also require each student to check in upon arrival and to check out as they leave.

  • Our vendors accept all major charters in the area. If a vendor isn’t coming up for you in your charter’s system, please request them to be added and reach out to the vendor. All of our vendors are very willing to work with any charter. Legacy Center is not a vendor - we are the host for the vendors.

Using Enrichment Classes Effectively

This varies by family. Some take 1–2 per day, others do full-day schedules. Consider your child’s age, focus, and needs.

How many classes should I sign my child up for?

Does Legacy offer academics & electives classes?

Many Legacy classes can fulfill core subject requirements (like history, science, or writing), depending on how you report your homeschool curriculum (PSA/PSP) or what your charter teacher approves.

How do I plan my homeschool day around Legacy Center days?

Use Legacy days as your “out-of-home learning” time. You can homeschool the other subjects on non-Legacy days or in the morning/evening depending on your rhythm. Many families use Legacy as their social and elective/core day, and homeschool more independently on other days.
